Krystal Allen
Krystal Lee Allen, 36, of Hilo, died Dec. 11, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 18, 1981, in Hilo, she was a receptionist at K.M.C. (Kilauea Military Camp) and a former clerk at Hilo Medical Center.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 16 at The House Hilo, 2282 Kanoelehua Ave. Casual attire and no flowers.
She is survived by life partner, Terry Allen; sons, Terrcin Allen and Tevfin Allen; parents, Royden and Lynda Suzuki; sisters, Katherine (Jason) DeKemper and Krystine (Tyler) Balucan; brother, Kurtis Suzuki; nephews and nieces, Christian DeKemper, Christopher DeKemper, Noah Balucan and Katiah Suzuki.

Ilaisaane Tuifua-Vena
Ilaisaane Tuifua-Vena, 46, of Hilo, died Dec. 3, 2017. Born on Dec. 26, 1970, in Tonga, she graduated from Menlo Atherton High School in Menlo Park, Calif., moved to Hawaii with her parents in the early 1990s and was an active member of the Hilo Tongan Assemblies of God.
A celebration of life will be held from 8-11:30 a.m. Dec. 16 at Glad Tidings Church, 116 Kapiolani St., Hilo; burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park.
Ilaisaane is survived by her husband, Soane Vena; son, Manase Tuifua-Vena; parents, Reverend Lolita and Uili Tuifua; sisters, Talameafoou (Hare Eteuati), Ofa He Mooni (Europa Demont) and Sarah-Marie Tuifua; brothers, Tauese ‘Uvea and Sateki (Melissa Tuifua); numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties, cousins and friends.

Yoneko Teruya
Yoneko Teruya, 81, of Honomu, died Nov. 30, 2017. Born Oct. 30, 1936.

Jane Nakashima
Jane Tsugie Nakashima, 93, of Honolulu, died Oct. 29, 2017, at Hospice Nakamura Hale in Holualoa. Born Nov. 14, 1923, in Ka’u, she grew up in Captain Cook and retired from Zippy’s Restaurant as a trainer.

Rex Matsuno
Rex Yoshio Matsuno, 96, of Hilo, died Nov. 30, 2017, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired president for Suisan Company, Limited, U.S. Army World War II veteran, Military Intelligence Service (interpreters) and member of Hilo Meishoin, Hilo Crescent City Lions Club and Gambare Golf Club.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. Dec. 18 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no monetary gifts or flowers. In his memory donations are suggested to Hilo Meishoin, 97 Olona St., Hilo, HI 96720.
He is survived by wife, Ethel Matsuno of Hilo; children, Esther (Daniel Yasui) Ueda of Honolulu, Christine (Paul Agamata) Matsuno, Calen Matsuno, Lu Ann (Scott Culbertson) Matsuno and Sam Matsuno of Hilo; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
